VST Live Pre-Release 3.0.55 is online

Hello Friday,

A new VST Live pre-release, version 3.0.55, is now available. This time, we have several improvements, one new feature, and one hidden feature visible.

New feature: Mixer → Send Type
It is now possible to send an audio signal before any insert effects. (Thank you, @fkalmus)

Hidden feature: Transport Time Domain
You probably know the Time Domain control - but did you know that you can right-click it to open a menu?

The menu also includes Apply to All Songs, which is quite handy. We have redesigned the control slightly to make the menu easier to discover.

yes, used to frequently, but now, the right click is not working me just left-click on arrow-down is opening the context-menu, right-click not doing the job. (MAC, can anyone just quickly check and give me a feedback?)

oh, sorry, no complain, couldn’t decide if missing right-click-for-context is “bug or feature”

… I can handle both, then -from now- will do it with left-click, no worries

Since version 3.0.52 or 3.0.52 I’m experiencing the following issue:
In my project, I assigned one or more layers to the respective Song Channel in each song (so I can control the Song Channel volume with a volume pedal).
When I switch to any other song in the project, these assignments disappear in almost all songs of the project and go to the (standard) Stereo Out Channel.
I downgraded to version 3.0.51, and the problem does not occur there.
Can you please help? Thanks!

But wouldn’t it be more logical to put pre-Inserts in first position of the popup menu?

I think its because the value 0 and value 1 were used already for “old” states so the for each loop will result that listing (3rd list item is the new preInsert ). Am I wrong?

Aah, yes, sure! But in the GUI they can change position of items without changing their IDs.

Hi! seems, the icon set is listening the “old” order, the icons aren’t matching with the new - fixed - listing order. (Mixer : SEND : pre/pre/post)

It’s clear about icon set, but does the function responds as selected in list? I cannot check, because didn’t install it because of today’s concert.

Yes, text-labels are doing their job correctly . However icons are listed as before
( text-label / icon mismatch )

I have to disappoint you and the other users. Before 3.0.55 the default send position was post-fader. Now in 3.0.55 (after “Added Send Type”) and also in 3.0.56 the default is pre-fader. It means all your sends to FX buses probably are too loud. Please check this! If so, then it is urgent to fix and release the weekend version or announce that these versions should not be used until next Friday, @Spork & @musicullum Sorry!
