After the last three weekly updates, I’ve noticed a very high video playback delay of about a second. I should point out that I only have one video track per song, the entire track. Before the latest updates, the sync was perfect. My current version is: 3.0.25
I did some further research and discovered that the problem started with pre-release 3.0.24. Before this pre-release, video playback was perfectly synchronized.
While waiting for Steinberg to resolve the issue, I downgraded to version 3.0.23.143 and everything is working properly.
Thank you.
Hello and thanks for your feedback. I’d like to point out that video playback is working fine for me too, but with about a second of latency. If you have videos previously created with a version up to 3.0.23 and had them synced with audio, try the newer releases now to see if you notice any latency. Thanks.
Hi, thanks again for the feedback. The clips don’t have any offset set. My clips are also MP4 - 1920 x 1080 and my project also originates from the V1 version. If I install an older version, up to version 3.0.23 to be precise, the video clips play perfectly with no latency, perfectly synchronized. If I upgrade to a version later than 3.0.23, the same clips play with about a second of latency. This is why I believe the problem is with the newer releases.
Hello, and thanks for your feedback. Perhaps I didn’t explain myself well. The delay affects the video track compared to the audio tracks. Previously imported videos, which were perfectly synchronized with the audio tracks, now play with about a second’s delay.
One more thing: I forgot to specify that I’m using a Windows version of VST LIVE PRO 3, not a Mac version.
Finally, the problem persists even on release 3.0.33.
Thanks.
I am still having an issue with the Video track output being out of sync with the audio tracks, even still on this latest version. it seems the video is approx. 1 sec behind the audio playback using Steinberg’s built in ASIO driver or Behringer UMC1820.
I noticed it too. Actually I‘d put the videos to start some ms earlier than the audio track, than it works. But it‘s no good solution at all. Feels like a buffering-problem…
Hi @musicullum , since V3 all my videos are out of sync with the audio. I have included a video in the original post but can do a better one if required, I have not changed any video files and all work perfectly in V2.
