VST 'Open With' Icons in Mac OSX 10.6.8...

This has been bugging me for a loooooooooooong time…

Anyone have multiple vst hosts but Cubase 6 is not listed as a ‘recommended’ app to open them with (thus the plugin icons are not the steinberg ones?

I read somewhere a while ago it has something to do with a system priority of the LaunchServices database and/or location of the apps…

It’s infuriating…i don’t want that fugly MAX MSP vst icon thanks

Not sure if you’ve already done this, but if you “Get Info” on one of the VST’s and select “open with”, can you see Cubase there? If so there’s a box on that page somewhere that says “change all”. That might do your trick?
