VST Performance much to high in 8 Pro

Hi all,

I’m using Cubase 8 Pro for several weeks now, and I noticed that, sometimes the performance just goes to the max. I’m just running a project with 18 mono audio tracks, almost no plug-ins, eq’s or effects. I’m notice digital crackling while playing back. But if I open the project in Cubase 7.5, I never had this problem. I can’t figure out what’s going wrong.
Any suggestions? BTW I’m running on an I7 8 core.

Same problem here. So much popping and clicking and spikes on the VST performance meter for the CPU. It makes no sense. It wasn’t like this before. Please fix it…
