VST Sounds Installation Disc-not recognized?

After upgrading to Cubase 5 from disc, then updating through to 5.5.3–

Inserting the VST Sounds disc and running the installation program, I get an message telling me to “insert the disc.” I assume that for whatever reason the program is not seeing the files on the installation disc.

Anybody know what this is about? Running XP sp3.

Could mean the C5 install disk.

Yes, it must be the installation disc, or the install program didn’t like the external DVD drive. I copied the files over to hard drive and the installation proceeded successfully.
