VST Ukulele instrument

Hi everyone,

I need to buy a good Ukulele VST instrument for an upcoming project. Does anyone have a recommendation? I don’t mind if it is sold as a single instrument or part of a package. Thanks.

  1. Ukulele KONTAKT: Find Inspiration with Ease Now
  2. Ronroco by Spitfire Audio (Not a ukulele but this sounds great.)
  3. Native Instruments - Session Ukulele
  4. Formby by Orchestral Tools
  5. Ample Sound - Ukulele

Others might have better suggestions.

Guitar type instruments, are best handled by Ample Sound, basses not so much (I use Trilian for those).

Thanks for your suggestions. After reading reviews I’ve gone for the Ample Sound Ethno Ukulele which is sampled from the Kamaka HF-3. It has a very pleasant sound and there is a lot I can do with it. This is the first non-Steinberg supplied instrument I’ve had to use so I just need to get my head around importing it into Cubase, a project for tomorrow. Thanks again.

I see you’ve already made a choice, so this may just be an add-on for anyone who is looking in the future, but I went with The Ukulele from Indiginus:

I was specifically looking for something for one of those “happy/clappy”, pop-style ukulele songs (I used it on my song “Dream a Mighty Dream”, which is on all the typical streaming sites).

It is a Kontakt library and pretty flexible. Only $45 at present.
