Sure, and meanwhile many people in the profession not only hobbyists who use Steinberg sequencers, will not be able to open their projects depending on VST2, so all of them will probably not upgrade when this change happens, and as you say maybe those customers will upgrade in a couple more years or maybe they won’t… but what does it matter? right? In the end Steinberg are the company we have supported and we are just the customers, therefore Steinberg can wait for the new generation of customers to come…
I doubt very much that the people who have invested more in their VSTS than in Steinberg sequencer, want to move together with you… And this is not a short list of devs…
but ok, lets just wait to the world “will look different tomorrow or in 24 months”…
