I’m using Nuendo 13 and everything works perfectly in monitoring mode with VSTi synths being played by external keyboard. All midi responds, all VSTi’s play. Select record arm on tracks, still good, enable transport record though and all midi and vsti channels stop responding and no recording of VSTi or Midi works. Have tried every setting I can think of in routing, midi ports, and preferences but no luck yet.
Duplicate from Cubase forum - user error and I have it figured out. Besides being apparently brain dead and not deducing this global issue was relating to midi record filters I will say the preferences midi filter UI design is not that intuitive on channel enabled vs disabled. The concept of tool tips in applications be a thing for the Steinberg app dev team to consider in future releases for a few of the more common user error mistakes reported on the forum and ticket system.
