VU meter/Peak meter/both option for all audio channels

Fallback but no rise:

I do!

Which is why I added “YMMV” or “Your Mileage May Vary”

Yes, thanks…good call. 1/2 there lol.

Updated links to a few third-party VU metering solutions:

These cannot integrate into Cubase MixConsole views to replace or augment the built-in peak meters (the original basis of this thread’s request and one reason this request is still open), but you can use them as plugins anywhere else you like.

A few of the Brainworx channel strips have them, too.

it’s been asked since 2017 and still nothing (I’ve pointed that out in another forum and was said I was “nitpicking”)

Back in the 80s or 90s putting out audio equipment without a VU would make everyone think you had lost your mind.

But, instead, CB now looks like Studio One which is good for some reason?

The Luna meters look nice although I’d never use Luna myself. At least the message is trickling into daws after Harrison software being one of the only vu view layouts.

At Namm, I was encouraged by all the analog consoles with vu (as usual) as well as a dozen or so independent vu maker booths.

If/when SB implements, the WORST thing would be in the form of singular, clickable vu view buttons scattered like supervision.

The aesthetic would HAVE to be (imo anyway as a console owner) “meter bridge” approach as on Luna and, well …these real consoles at the show.

That being said, I simply don’t hold my breath that vu meters will happen ever with SB. I love the company, have been around them since the 80s when midi kicked in, but Cubendo simply has never been a product whose lineage necessarily understands MCI console+jh24  Nor should it I guess…woah…I may be talking myself into trying a windows ver of Luna for tracking just to check out the creative comfort zone compared to the yellow glow my machines vibe me with :)…
