W13 does not see CD burner

I run a computer with Macos Tahoe on a Mac M2 Max, and although Wavelab 12 recognizes the CD burner (a USB 3 Pioneer BlueRay DVD burner BD-RW BDR-XD05), Wavelab 13 says that there are no DC burners connected

On macOS Tahoe, you need to run WaveLab in Rosetta mode to be able to access the CD.
In WaveLab 12, this is not necessary, but WaveLab 12 becomes very unstable when accessing the CD. This is why CD access has been restricted to Rosetta, where there is no such macOS problem.

Wow thanks for the quick answer ! What should have been a quick CD burn (something becoming rare) has degenerated this morning in a full blown three hour disaster, with W12 going wild, quitting on me whenever trying to access the burning/ddp utility in the “album” tab of a montage. Drove me absolutly crazy. I ended up creating a DDP in W13 and importing it in w12 and burning from there. But what is the solution to all this ? What is happening ?
Even the DDP creation, in W12 has become wildly unstable !!

I add that I just upgraded to Tahoe yesterday, but all seemed to work ok. I will try rosetta

on Tahoe:
Use Rosetta if you need CD access.
Use WaveLab 13 if you need DDP access (Apple Silicon and Rosetta).

Thanks for the replies, any chance that my burner might be recognized in the near future without rosetta ?

In the near future, no. In the middle term future, maybe.
