Hello I am new to cubase. I have cubase LE 13.0.30, and I am using TASCAM US-2X2 HR into a laptop. I want to record a guitar into cubase and produce 2 tracks: 1 with a click track ;2nd without a click track, after mixdown. The TASCAM has the Loopback feature, which I have turned off. I am not sure how to be setting the metronome setting in Transport tab. I just want to send two guitar recordings to a mate - one with click, the other without.

LE is pretty stripped down, so this might not be available. But under Project>Signature_Track you can render the Click to Audio. Put it on an Audio Track and Mute/Unmute as desired when you export a mix.
If that’s not available in LE you can easily use an Instrument Track to build your own custom click and use that for your mix.
Personally I usually use the 2nd method even though I’m using Pro. You can give that a bit more groove or character than a straight click.
Yep, that’s been my preferred method for a long time. Easier to find a sound for the “click” that works for me. And, if I do actually want to add a few things here or there it’s simple to do.
Thanks raino for welcoming me to the forum! and to raino and Scab_Pickens for suggesting building my own click track. I did just that, pulled up Groove Agent and designed my click. .. What I want to do next is make two guitar recording tracks - one having a click, the other without. I am pretty much a Newbie to Cubase… but I know transport has the options for metronome/click.
Those options are only for the Metronome that is integrated into the Cubase Transport. But if you create your own custom click on an Instrument Track that’s a full fledged Virtual Instrument (although one playing a very boring & repetitive part). Besides creating the Track you’ll also need to create MIDI Part on that Track that plays the click pattern. Then just copy the MIDI Part the length of your song.
Now you can include or exclude it from your mix just like it was any other instrument playing on the song.
First get everything arranged so it sounds like what you want with the click Track you created. Once you’ve got that use Export>Audio Mixdown to save that as your mix with the click. Next Mute the click Track and repeat the export to save your mix that doesn’t include the click. Make sure to give them different names.

It would be better to use Instrument Tracks (in general) than a MIDI Track. An Instrument Track is like a MIDI Track and a Virtual Instrument combined into a single entity. Where if you use a MIDI Track it won’t produce any sound on its own. So you’d need to create a Rack Instrument and manually config them to talk to each other. Because there is more stuff to setup when using MIDI Tracks it’s more work to use & easier to set something wrong.
You already have MIDI Parts on your GA Track, which is an Instrument Track, and also all you need for the results you want.
