Warp Algorithm for Textural Layers in Cubase Sampler Track

Hey guys,

I use Sampler Track in Cubase to sample some layers of sound, mainly high shimmer or other textural layers that I like. I have a question about the different warp algorithms available there:

I noticed there are several options for warping:

  • Music
  • Solo
  • Spectral
  • Spectral HD
  • Spectral Vocal

actualyl i try to figure out the best algorithm/mode to use when I want to pitch the sound up or down by 2-3 semitones without heavily distorting or messing with the quality of the texture. Since I plan on reusing these sampler tracks as instruments in various contexts, I want to preserve the integrity of the sound as much as possible when changing keys.

until now, I experimented with a few of these modes, but the results seem kind of random, and I haven’t quite grasped which mode works best for these kinds of textural layers.

Anyone has good experience with these warp algorithms in sampler and could share their thoughts on this? It will really help me alot.
