I thought, going back a bit that I used mouse in audio editor with cross hairs? I could be dreaming…but its painful without it…could not see a pref for it?
Last time I checked, it’s in Preferences → Tools.
Horizontal and Vertical, there are two of them.
Well, now I can’t remember if it used to work in the Sample Editor either.![]()
Its def not even turning up in project for me though??
Im on multiple 4k screens
Ohhh, the project too, sorry, I didn’t catch that. I’ll check on my system later and see if it’s any different here.
Better late than never, but I just checked and I get my crosshairs just fine in the project, buuut when using the draw or cut tool.
No luck in the Sample Editor though.
Naive question maybe, but: Have you tried to change the color of the lines?
Its says the same in CB12 but I absolutely remember the cross hairs showing in project window when just moving around
It does show when moving the items in project window…but yeah the most valuable place for me is in the audio editor so its like wavelab and has meaningful info when held over the waveform…or even just like the spectrum meter etc
Chees @ggmanestraki and @Buer
It says if link cursors is on that it should show in the audio editor?
It does here, but only for the relevant tools: Draw tool and Split tool (scissor).
I have to set it in preferences, and hit Apply and Ok, oh course.
It shows in the audio part editor.
If you convert the audio event(s) to an audio part, you can sync the project cursor with the lower zone cursor.
Thanks
One thing Ive never used much even from the first VST32 version for audio…I guess there is a use for it…but I never got it.
Make sense now but I must have honestly been using something else…either way crosshairs are pretty mandatory for working with time/freq
