Wouldn’t it be nice to have a progress meter in your menu-bar’s Watch Folder icon, which shows what’s going on during a process? Or is there an alternative way to see how busy the watch folder is?

The system tray icon changes as “process” when something takes place.

Yeah, I saw the icon changing from an “arrow” into a cogwheel.
Though, during “large” processes it might be handy to see a progress-meter which shows how many time one’s got to have a coffee/beer/soda.

But the idea of Watch folders is that a process takes place without needing attention from the user. So althoug it takes CPU-power, you should be able to continue working…
