wav file slow down and pops when played in CE6

Hello from France,
I use Elements 6 64 bits on W7 64 bits.
For my audio project, i import a wave file 44100 khz 16 bits (drums pattern made with drumsite and audacity).
Then i try to record guitars while playing the wav file.

My problem is that the sound of the wav file slow down and pops.
Can’t understand why.

any idea ?

Hello,

Check your VST Audio System setup. You have to use ASIO driver. And check the Contol Panel of your sound card settings. Try to increase Buffer Size/Latency parameter.

Thank you Martin, i’ve increase the buffer length of my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and the sound is normal now.
Was it simple as that ? Yes !!!
