WaveLab 12.0.20 bugs?

I can’t reproduce this.

I see, thank you. I have meanwhile edited and saved this audio montage and the activation of the “Create Automatically” option is now working normally again. It seems that this issue only occurs rarely with certain montage files and can be resolved by saving.

12.0.30 UPDATE update.

1. BATCH RENAMING. No program freezing now. But now I get this erroneous behavior:
a. Render a 10 song master to a folder. No .gpk files (as desired).
b. Run the batch renaming to remove file name spaces.
c. Now only the first 5 songs are in the folder (songs 6-10 have disappeared).
d. And now there are new .gpk files present for the first 5 songs in the folder where there were none before.

2. Metadata Origination Date/Time: The CREATE AUTOMATICALY feature still does not work when rendering from a montage.

While I can’t add to batch renaming issue as such … with the .gpk files, if you haven’t already set this up, you can force these to appear and save in a separate folder:

There must be other factors at play. The renaming tool does not create file nor remove some.
If you have a reproducible case, please send me your files and preset.

I did a quick test, to render clips and to render titles. In both cases, the proper data/time were created.
If you have a reproducible case, please send me your montage.

Hi PG,

I made a new “test” montage today and rendered dummy masters into a folder. Then I ran Batch Rename to remove spaces from the file names. I got the same result as reported earlier; half the files are gone and new gpk have been added. Here are the directory screenshots, before and after renaming.

Directory After Batch Rename (wavs in sub folder)
Here is the montage and batch preset for your investigation.

Thank You,

Thanks, this was useful. The problem will be fixed in next update.
The presence of ancillary files next to the .wav file, e.g. gpk files, is causing this.
