Whenever I hit the resampling button in the master section, Wavelab freezes (beach ball on Mac) and has to be force quit. This has been an ongoing problem and is a real PITA if I haven’t saved a few steps. Anybody having this issue?
This happens the end of a project when I’m doing my renders and I need to make my 16-44.1 renders. Say the project is at 24bit - 88.2khz. I then hit the little clock icon next to “re-sample” in the master section-- this causes the beachball. In past experience, unless I hit “play” with resampling turned on, it doesn’t ask the interface for a different sample rate…so the project stays at 88.2. Converters are Motu 16a being clocked by HEDD 192. When this beachballing happens, the converters are NOT showing the flashing sample rate that they would when an app requests a different rate.
Here is the workaround I have found: first I click on the rectangle/dropdown that says “resample”, which closes it. Then if I click the clock icon, it turns green and doesn’t cause WL to freeze. If I then click the rectangle button, I see 44.1. So in other words, the issue happens when the button shows “resample” and I hit the clock button, but not when the button is just grey (closed) and I hit the clock button. The problem is I often forget this order of events.
