Hey crew!
Seems like I’ve (maybe?) found a bug in Wavelab. Seems to forget, randomly and occaisionally, certain plugin settings (I mainly work from clip effects).
Seems to happen when I have my general starting point preset saved when I load the plugin, and it seems to revert to these settings instead of the settings I left the montage in (including in all the backup files) when I open the montage later. Like it’s incorrectly reverting to the preset settings instead of what I used on the master.
Is there something to this? Sorta a headache to be honest, it happens mainly with DMG stuff but has happened with other brands as well which makes me think it’s not the actual plugin that’s the issue.

I haven’t experienced this with the core group of plug-ins I typically use but I’ll try to keep a closer eye on it.
I have experienced this in a previous version of WL … and with a very well written and tested in WL plugin. that has worked flawlessly across different versions of WL without incident.
I was unable to find a work around . The forum here blamed the plugin and the plugin author (who most definitely knows what they are doing and are super responsive) said it was the only report of it in the context of thousands of users. For some reason, it now works and I have no real idea except that it might have been related to something on my system or WL at that time. Realistically, it’s very unlikely to be the plugin given those circumstances.
Probably not what you wanted to hear … but it is what it is.
BTW, I have had issues with a DMG plugin but only with the very latest version of WL 12. DMG have traced it to a crash when entering data by mouse wheel. WL unexpectedly quits. Weirdly, the same plug worked in the initial version of 12 flawlessly. As in 11.2 and previous to that. If it a mission critical plugin, all I can suggest is revert to the initial version of 12 or 11.2 (where all DMG seemed super stable).
Thanks!
I really think (as far as I can tell) it’s due to Wavelab incorrectly loading my starting point preset instead of the actual settings that was left off on.
For instance, my equillibrium preset has bands already created and with broad qs or shelfs I like but all bands off. And that’s what it will revert to.
Seems like the solution is just start from the ACTUAL default of the plugin rather than my preferred starting point – Wavelab seems to do fine there.
Except that in my case … and this is perhaps a caution … when I opened WL next time, all the settings had reverted to default.
