However when I quit Wavelab it ‘disables/crashes’ SoundID reference and I have to manually go into Sound ID reference and click ‘restart Playback Engine’ - then Sound ID works fine again:
Is there a setting that would enable Wavelab 13 to work properly with Sound ID and NOT require me to have to re-start SoundID every time I use Wavelab 13?
Many Thanks.
(PS - I use a similar set up in Cubase 15 pro Control Room and this doesn’t crash Sound ID on exit)
Just to say, I do exactly this and have no issue at all. In fact I have Sound ID inserted and bound into 3 or 4 of my speaker settings, along with other plugins. One for headphones. One with mix cube emulation etc.
But I do have Sound ID system wide and service disabled, as I only ever want to use the plugin version. (I wrote a script to do this after each new install/update, if it’s any use to you let me know. Windows 11 here).
Cool - I do have mine running both as plug-ins in Cubase and Wavelab AND and on my system which plays audio through my main monitors…just so I can listen to mixes outside of Cubase/Wavelab.
Never used to be a problem - It’s only occured since the 13.0.10 update?
It’s the name of the software produced by Sonarworks. It’s available as a plugin (how I use inside of Wavelab and Cubase)…and as a standalone system wide application.
