Wavelab 13 montages won't open from finder

Wavelab 13 will not let me open a .mon file from the finder. In this scenario, Wavelab is not running, and I double click a .mon file in the finder. Wavelab will then open an older montage (not even the project previous to the one I’m trying to open), possibly even the last Wavelab 12 montage I worked on? It the gives a dialog saying “the file is damaged or of the wrong format”.

If I then open Wavelab 13 from the dock and go to “recent”, it opens just fine.

Right click on the montage file.
In the menu, choose “other…”
In the browser, select WaveLab 13, but also check the box “Open always”.

Right-click the .mon file, choose “Open With,” select WaveLab 13, and check “Always Open With.” This ensures double-clicking opens it correctly.
