Wavelab 9.0.35 will not open.

I’ve got what appears to be the same problem. Wavelab started consistently crashing a few days ago. It occurs a few seconds after the startup/splash screen appears. I’ve tried rebooting and reinstalling twice but it has made no difference. I using Windows 7 x64.

Event Viewer shows the following information:

Faulting application name: WaveLab9_1_64.exe, version: 9.1.0.684, time stamp: 0x5940da94

I’m having the same problem. Wavelab consistently crashes at start up, a few seconds after showing the splash screen. I’ve tried rebooting, and have reinstalled Wavelab twice always with the same outcome. This started happening a few days ago. I’m running Windows 7 x64.

Event Viewer records the following crash:

Faulting application name: WaveLab9_1_64.exe, version: 9.1.0.684, time stamp: 0x5940da94

I also had a crashing and not starting Wavelab issue about a year ago on v9, it was the eLicenser software that suddenly had a difficulty reading the USB eLicense. Updating the eLicenser software to the latest version solved it.
So all I can advice is to take this along in your search for the cause of your crashes/not starting application error.

This:

ucrtbase.DLL

Is a Microsoft Runtime library. Judging by the errors popping up - this may have something to with the version of Windows 10 being used. the version number of 10.0.10586.15 looks like Windows 10 1709 to me.

I am running Windows 10 1607 so I have not seen the issue - but it would be interesting to know if any of the posters within the last week have moved to Windows 10 1709 (Fall Creator’s update) recently. Or applied Windows updates recently.

PG may need to look into this one as well.

Probably Windows 7 has made a system update that causes a conflict. My recommendation is to use Windows 10, which offers better performances anyway.
