I’ve made a “perfect” master in WaveLab 9.5, but the volume is way too low compared to an average/commercial recording (CD/LP/streaming services etc.). Any tips on how to increase the volume to industry standard? Thanks in advance.
The quickest way would be to use a clipping plug-in (or clip the wavelab master output), and/or use a limiting plug-in… then just push it up as loud as you want it to be. Just keep in mind, it might not sound quite as awesome as a professional release – achieving excellent sound even at loud volume is part of the art of mixing and mastering…. that people spend years learning and perfecting.
