Wavelab 9 upgrade process?

I have Wavelab 9. I’ve bought the 9.5 upgrade, and see there is now a sub release with some fixes.

  1. Do I install 9.5 first, then the upgrade (which seems to make sense to me)
  2. The e-licencer says I need a USB e-licencer or something? What’s this? I can’t get it to accept my activation code.

Can’t get this upgrade to run after an hour. Any ideas?

WaveLab Pro or WaveLab Elements?
Only the former needs a USB.

Maybe you downloaded the wrong version?

No it’s Elements. Wonder why it’s asking for USB then. I’ll check the version. Thanks

No it’s Elements. Won’t accept the licence. I’ve tried uninstalling and starting again about 4 times. Always the same. The process is broken somewhere. I install 9.5. I don’t have a licence for it from Stainberg - only for the upgrade. I install the upgrdae. It all installs fine. But it just errors when I try to open it. So go to the e-licencer thing and enter the licence and it says about the USB key.
