WaveLab for game audio sound design?

For a sound designer how is WaveLab? This workflow is taking a bunch of WAV’s, layering and processing them to output a final stem for a game - oftentimes ambisonics format. The “Application Areas” tab of the Steinberg site says it’s fantastic for this application but I’m not sure I see it yet, and searching in the WaveLab YouTube channel isn’t coming up with many video examples of this workflow.

Also any thoughts on when WaveLab 11 would drop? We can wait if it’s not long, and 10 was a year and a half ago.
