Been happening for quite some time, would love a fix.
When saving any file in WL to dropbox, And the save as dialog box is open to the destination of dropbox, dropbox starts syncing random files which makes wavelab hang and sometimes crash.
Interesting. There must be more to the story.
For some projects I work directly in a Dropbox folder on my main hard drive so that the project is available on both of my setups via Dropbox sync and I can’t say I’ve experienced this.
More info could be needed to provide any help.
I recommend to save to your local hard-drive, then to copy to the dropbox.
I don’t think any change in WaveLab can help.
I do that already but unfortunately, I open clients’ files from dropbox directly meaning when saving the destination of Dropbox pops up. So most times, I have to stop sync with dropbox, or close dropbox, and with that comes the crash.
It happens on both mac and pc so not localised to 1 machine
I also work in dropbox folders directly and don’t have an issue, however I always have a localised folder ie. “make available offline” and let things sync up or down in the background, it doesn’t matter if its a shared folder I own, my own folder, their shared folder, as long as its a locally synced “available offline” folder its never been an issue, and thats on both windows or Mac machines
