I got an RME FIreface UCX II last week so I could record DAT tapes to the computer. For a few days it was working but last night I had a crash when Explorer seized up, and now even though I select ASIO Fireface driver, when I open the recording dialog in Wavelab it doesn’t read the Fireface inputs. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Wavelab and the RME driver multiple times with no luck. When I try to select input under the Input window all it shows is the inputs from my webcam, which are the same that are available under the generic ASIO driver. I found a workaround by assigning the inputs listed under the ASIO driver a new bus, but it’s like Wavelab lost all the bus data
When WaveLab selects an ASIO driver, it gets all the informations from the ASIO driver.
WaveLab does not keep anything, but if you save a preset.
Therefore, to make sure, in case you saved a preset in the audio connection dialog, delete it.
Same here, everything is working fine with RME UCXII.
Best regards!
