I’ve been using wavelab for about 3 years and this has never happened before. Suddenly the output to my audio interface from Wavelab is super low. The limiter is outputting -1 dbfs but the level coming into my RME from Wavelab is -28 db even with the RME at full volume. If I move to Cubase, the level is as expected. It’s on Wavelab where this is happening and it started all of a sudden today. I haven’t changed anything since yesterday when it was working fine. I’ve tried playing back montages with no plugins loaded and it’s the same problem. This is a bit of an emergency for me as I can’t master at this low level. Thanks for any help.
Could be something with the master section settings?
Hi
Interestingly, this has happened to me a couple of times recently in WL 13.
Montage where fx were loaded in Output. It appeared that sound was passing through the plugins (no changes since the previous time I opened the Project).
I was unable to identify anything abnormal in settings.
The cure was to copy the plugin chain, remove the plugins from the montage, and then paste the chain back in.
The plugin chain is what I pretty much use everyday and all of them (4 in total) play well with WL for years.
I have no clue why.

That’s weird all the same, it has never happened to me.
Did you check the input - output of any plug in used in the chain?
Of course.
I use WL every day all day on projects and have been using it since WL 6. Trust me, there was nothing ‘obvious’.
I did that at the time. There were no hidden plugins.
