Using file → import → Audio CD, WaveLab Pro 12 crashes at least once or twice, before I finally get the import CD window and the rest of the procedure is fine. But this behavior is really annoying! It is a fresh installation of the last release of WL12 on a MacBook Pro 32GB, running Tahoe 26.0.1
Try in Rosetta mode to see if there is a difference.
I have just made a few tests, it works fine, no crash at all this time, but is not a bit awkward to use Rosetta with apple Silicon? I hope it will not degrade WL12 performances? Many thanks anyway for your tip.
May I ask a question? When looking at my elicencer I still have WL11 on it? I should have WL12 as well !!
Yes, but if your task mostly involves audio CD import, maybe this could be worth a try. Because I heard one case similar to yours that was solved like this.
This being said, you are on Mac, and on Mac, you don’t need an application to import audio CDs. You can drag and drop tracks directly from the CD.
Many thanks again for your help, I didn’t known about this way to import tracks directly from a CD. Best Regards.
In Windows 11 ,Wavelab Pro 12 does not see the cd.
Going to try Soundforge Pro instead.
I have associated Cd Audio with Wavelab.
I click a file from the CD outside Wavelab.
Wavelab then opens but when playing, only plays a small section of the track.
Sigh.
