WAVELAB **Recording Vocal on top of Background Track**

Hello Users!

So I have been trying to figure out a way to play my (karaoke) style background track and record vocal directly on top of the track.
What I have been doing is importing my background music track to wavelab and then recording my vocal and then trying to manually sync the two tracks together.
Is there a possible way to do this using one track only to avoid the syncing process, (the background track) & (Vocal Track)?

Any help in regards would be greatly appreciated :slight_smile:

If you’re playing back the music file on track 1 in the montage, can’t you record the vocal in sync on track 2? (with the montage track function “record at cursor” - in the track number pulldown). At least that would place the vocal file in sync after recording I think, and then the montage could be saved.
