Wavelab taking ages to handle audio interfaces

What are the odds the issue happens with both the dual RME Madi FX and dual RME Aox-D. Even after a full re-install of Windows 11. To me the common denominator is the implementation of the RME ASIO drivers for a dual setup not working with the application.

I’ve had to work with Bitwig developers to get the dual RME setup working with Bitwig because RME implemented the ASIO drivers not as the Bitwig developers expected.

I know I have a unique setup which most likely is cause of the edge-case. But I do hope the issue is important enough to be figured out.

Can you confirm that the time needed to start is shorter with 128 or 256 channel limit (in Settings dialog)? I recall we have had that with Cubase/Nuendo a while ago and it had been fixed with an update.

Confirmed. When setting the max channels for both interfaces to 128 the time to show the audio connections channels is reduced to 3 seconds.

To whom is this question addressed?

I’ve copied the messages from this topic:

I’ve just installed 13.0.20 and the issues mentioned earlier still are there.

Nothing was changed in this domain. Did you report your case to RME?

I will not be the intermediary. You’re welcome to contact RME yourself.

I don’t have any problem with my RME hardware.
