WAVES SSL Channel Strip causes ‘Average Audio-Processing Load’ to peak

Help please.

I’ve recently bought the Waves SSL Channel Strip bundle. The sound is great but (almost) every time I move the cursor on and off the controls on the SSL channel strip screen, the Cubase ‘Average Audio-Processing Load’ peaks and the sound briefly cuts out. It’s very annoying and makes subtle EQ and compression adjustment almost impossible.

I don’t have this problem with any other plugins including many waves plugins.

Any thoughts?

Many thanks

Are you using the VST2 or VST3 version?
Make sure cubase is using VST3, delete the VST2 plugins.

Hope this helps

It’s the VST3 Version.

Many thanks

I use the SSL Channel strip on a channel insert and don’t have the problems you report. My PC is rather old, what are you using? What is your DAW interface and what do you have sample rate set at? Have you tried using the DOP feature?

Hi There,

The sample rate is 44.1K 24 bit. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘DAW interface.’
I haven’t used the DOP feature because I’m not sure what it is.
Please explain.

Many thanks
