Waves V.13 Issues Blacklisted as "Unkown"

Hi,
I have now been in contact with Waves support and the guy there could via remote check my DAW… which did not solve the issue with Waves V.13 plugins that ends up blacklisted in Nuendo…
Instead I was asked to download REAPER to see if it was the same issue…

Can someone smart tell me what the screenshot means? Please,

Micke.

A web search for the error listed (kernelbase error) tells some of the story:

Hi,
Yes I read a little about it but I still do not know how to solve my issues,
I was more hoping that the KERNEL/ NUENDO was a known issue that could be solved…

To really know for sure, you should open a ticket with Steinberg support. Haven’t seen other posts about it myself.

There are some posts about waves plug-ins causing problems…

The first one indicates a 32 bit kernel issue. Your operating system is running in 32 BIT mode. Nuendo cannot run in this mode. This means Windows is currently 32 bits… Nuendo 11 only accepts 64 bit plugins, AND will only run inside a Windows 64 bit operating system.

The second pic, indicates there are TWO WavesShell1-VST3 13.0_x64.vst3, so you might need to go to that folder and eliminate ANY doubled up Waves plug ins, starting with that WaveShell.

The rest of the plugins, are VST2 (32 bits), so those are not accepted anymore by Nuendo.

I would:

A: REBOOT Windows and start it in 64 bit mode. If you don’t have this, you need to install it.

B:

  1. Completely uninstall Waves plugins.
  2. Ensure NO extra Waves plugins are in your plugin folder, erase them if you need to.
  3. REBOOT your computer.
  4. Restart Nuendo, and rescan all plugins. See if any are still giving you issues.
  5. Download the LATEST windows WAVES CENTRAL, and MAKE SURE IT IS THE 64 BUT VERSION.
  6. Install Waves Central, login, and install your plugins again.
  7. Run Nuendo, see if you get the error again.

Also, you HAVE to be running Windows 64 BIT version. Is that what you have installed on your computer? If not, that is the issue.

Thanks!
For your informative answer,
I know all that though,
The kernell thing came up when trying to relocate the waveshell plugin…
My System is brand new and everthing is working fine!
Except the Waves V.13 plugins.
Waves support has tried to give solutions but something is serious wrong…
The earlier V.10 11.12 install as they should …
Hopeless
Micke.

I have the same problem, Win 10 64bit, latest Nuendo (11.0.41) and WavesCentral too… :frowning:
