I’ve tried engaging and disengaging this feature and fiddling around with different Filter Shift, Filter Scale settings to no avail - it doesn’t noticeably affect the sound. Certainly - if it’s having an effect I’m simply unable to hear - it doesn’t sound “similar to shifting the cutoff frequency of a classic synthesis filter”.
Hi @SimonHarpham! It is indeed not a classical synth filter as it manipulates the spectrum at the source. The Oscillator Waveform, so to speak.
If you apply it to the default sine wave of the wavetable zone, there is only one harmonic and all that is happening is a volume change.
As soon as you drop a sample onto the Wavetable Editor or start adding harmonics to the spectrum tab, the filter has something to work with.
