Thought id report back to see if this is a bug or im not doing something right. Or if this report could find its way to the appropriate people
I have an audiofile open in N14, send to wavelab 12 via ARA ext. Use the loop tweaker in Wavelab to make a loop, cut start and end points according to new loop markers, loops fine, but then when i make the track extension permanent in N14, the file doesn’t conform to the new loop edits made in wavelab.
Hi!
I can see the loop markers in ARA when update file or making copy
but only if I open file in WaveLab!!!
So maybe this is a question for Nuendo/Cubase as well?
by the way I tested in Cubase 14.0.20 and WaveLab 12.0.51
After editing a file in the wavelab extension, after the edit is completed in wavelab and “make extension permanent” is selected in n14,
the edits completed in wavelab should update in nuendo. They are not updating correctly. For example doing micro edits to an audio file in the wavelab extension, those edits are not updating correctly after selecting make track extension permanent.
So problem is not to do with markers, its to do with the audio file updating correctly in nuendo after the edits made in wavelab.
in my case, i put the nuendo audio file into the wavelab extentsion to use the loop tweaker, after the loop tweaker made the edits, when i go to bring the new looped audio file back into nuendo, the new updated looped file is not correct.
so yes it renders back to nuendo, but it doesnt render correctly as per the tweaked loop. the only way around it is to save a copy of the audio file in the wavelab extension and import that back into nuendo, that works.
