Weird behavior in Cubase 15.2.21 with MAC os 26.4.1

so I am having some very odd behavior since I was so careless to update to latest MAC os 26.4.1 the same day it came out.

Things I never had problems with before. Any input would be great. Videos of the problems are here if you want to see them:

  1. I route my kick into a clean group channel, then the volume of the single channel boosts the signal noticable. I never notice this before, and I used this mixing routing since forever - I am not using the new way to route that was introduced in 15..2
  2. My panning is going crazy. This is happening on all projects, also new in 15.2.1 after mac os update. I have tried turning off my controllers. it is always the 1st channel on the mixer, but there have been moments when other channels have been affected too

so now Cubase is unusable for me. Anyone else have these problems, are they bugs or is there a setting gone totally amok in my system?

after having these problems since the update I turned off the power of my mac, not just a restart. I came back a few hours later. Now I have been working in Cubase for 2 hours and no sign of this. So go figure, something changed.
