Weird behaviour equalizer

Hi there,
when I have any mastered song loaded in the project (whose level on master fader is -0.1 or 0.0), as far as I activate the low-pass or the high-pass filter on the integrated Eq of cubase, the master fader clips and goes 1 or 2 dB above 0 dB. How so?

I use Cubase 7.0.3 on windows 7 (64 bit)

Aloha B,

Are you using the ‘Control Room’ feature?

There have been reports of unwanted additional gain/volume
when using the CR with improper routing or connections.

Try doing a forum search and check.

thank you for your answer.

I think I found that topic but that was about problems during mixdown. Also, I have the same problem with the control room disabled. It doesn’t actually bother me anyway, I was just wondering if the integrated eq is reliable or not.
