Weird crash (A title oft used t'would seem)

Hello,

Using Cubase 12 Pro, Windows 10 (10.0.19045), an i7-3820, 32GB PC3-12800 on a Sabertooth X79 motherboard. I had a project (just started, 12 instrument tracks, MIDI on all channels drawn out, a complete drum map, all groups routed and pre-gained to unity) which was playing back the output audio of the complete mix.

I use 4 monitors (screens not speakers) and I moved the cursor to the monitor above to use the Cubase manual (open in Chrome) and the audio playback stuttered and then stopped. I do this regularly (move outside Cubase while it does something or when I need something) but this has not happened before.

Moving back into Cubase, I could not do anything as it was hard locked (thank goodness I always Ctrl+S religiously as part of my workflow, not this time Cubase  ). It then (I did not initiate it) closed the project but left the main Cubase program running.

After 20 minutes of hanging I Task Managered the old girl, kindly and gently.

I ask because the rules say I must ask fellow forum members before I bug post.

TLDR; My Cubase crashed and I need to know if anyone else’s does this in the above circumstances too. Thank you.

Hi,

Do you have crash/DMP file available? If yes, attach it, please.

Hello Martin, will post the ProcDump on the other question, in the meantime, attached is a link to the Activation Manager Diagnostics.

One thing, if you know, what information about me & my system (if any) is being provided via the config.dat and access.txt tokens / strings / signatures / protocols? As they are the only obsucated information I can see. Thank you.
