Weird - I Can't get a signal in to cubase 11

Ok, weird.

I can’t get a signal in to cubase 11.

I can get a signal in to older versions back to 9.5.

Cubase 11 spits sound out fine.

FWIW I’m using a Fireface ucx, but I don’t think that’s relevant, because I can’t get an input signal from anywhere.

I’ve done all the things that I think are right - studio setup then audio connections.

Is there some new secret button in cubase 11 that I don’t know about?

Or is there a secret button in Big Sur? But it can’t be that because older versions of cubase work fine.

um…

Oh man… what a mess!
we have this twice a week… new installed audio software needs the rights to access the microphone

Call Apple on this f#%&§ mess

Thanks. Obvious thing to do, but I thought I’d ask first, just in case I was doing something stupid.

Greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure Cubase has enabled Mic in the System Preferences, please.
Open macOS System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone. Enable Cubase here.
