What are these dashed lines above the velocity data?

I’m having a problem with an imported MIDI part - the notes are playing differently than they appear in the piano roll. I noticed these dashed lines between the MIDI note data and the velocity data in the Note Editor - does anyone know what these mean, and if they are related?

The dashed lines are part of the new GUI and is meant to indicate that the bar above the controller lanes is adjustable.
(You’re not the first to be confused about these dashed lines.)
