What does "contains not" really do in the PLE?

I thought that “Contains Not” may be the same as “doesn’t contain”, but it is not working that way. In fact, I can’t tell what it does-it is just making all my tracks disappear. The manual doesn’t even mention “Contains Not” as an option:

Do you mean if you set the Filter Target to “Name”, or “Color Name”? Then is an opposite to “Contains”. So you can search for a sub-string in the name.

For example you have those tracks:

  • MIDI 01
  • Audio 01
  • Audio 02

If you set Name > Contains Not > 01, then Audio 02 is the result. If you set Name > Contains Not > Audio, then MIDI 01 is the result.
