I’m confused what the “Group” (Cmnd+G) key command does. I understand what a Group Track is, but I when I use the key command CmndG (“Group”), I can’t tell what it is doing. And I don’t understand how to tell which tracks are in this mysterious “Group”.
Hi,
It has nothing to do with the Group Track.
This group selected Audio/MIDI Events/Parts, so you can, for example, move them at once.
See Grouping Events in the manual, please.
Thank you
How can I tell if the group editing is off? When I use my key command to “Turn Off Group Editing for Selected Tracks”, the symbol in the corner that says it is in a group doesn’t go away. How do I dissolve a group for good?
Again, Group Editing refers to something else. (Folders)
What you are looking for is Ungroup. This will let you handle events one by one, if you have previously grouped them together.
Sorry for the plug, but if you have time to kill, make your self a big cup of coffee and have a look here. I have some descriptions of what each keycommand does, in layman’s terms.
Hi,
If the Audio/MIDI Event/Part is groupped with another one, you can see the given symbol in the top-right corner of the Audio/MIDI Event/Part, as mentioned in the manual.
ggmanestraki answered my question, thanks. I was looking for the “Ungroup” command.
Thanks! That is an awesome collection that I will be referring back to a lot now! Thank you for compiling that
