What does the hub do in C15, that it did not in the previous version?

I believe you able to work with Audio Inputs and Outputs, but can you also change driver or ASIO Guard settings?

Is there any new, or improved preset functionality, in relation to the Hub or elsewhere?

Also, does the sign-in, section allow any access to your online account or project elements?

Cheers, and looking forward, to what happens in this area.

15 offers slightly less functionality, because a couple settings have been put in a settings dialogue, where they used to be visible.

Audio settings, etc, have been available in the Hub since Steinberg added standard menus.

You can add custom folders - but it seems to search sub-folders, too, which can add dozens of projects to the list. So unusable for me.

Templates don’t seem to be categorised, I may be wrong.

What sign-in section?

It’s different, but I think it’s worse.

Others seem to like it.

Marmite, comes to mind…

@emotive I think the easiest way to find out is via trial version and the manual. There are already plenty of threads about the new hub in C15 - this will also give you a pretty good idea about pros and cons.

@Googly_Smythe Haha, Marmite as the mother of all controversy, good one!

Either yhe functionality is gone or it is harder to access. But it can’t be gone and there at the same time.

It’s a case of having the same functions, but having them made less functional, by way of putting them is a separate dialogue. Like something that used to be on the desk has now been put in a drawer.

Well they did add the Project Preview to the Hub & at least that’s nice

So, not less functionality but more cumbersome?

I stand by what I typed.

Previews are new and the categorization is a little more open ended.

There’s really nothing new about accessing audio settings since you’ve always been able to access that prior to opening a project. The idea was to put those audio settings in the hub to make it more obvious how to make adjustments in case any are needed for previews. Unfortunately that doesn’t work at all if you’re using the control room

The access to the manual could be better and the choice of showing the last opened date doesn’t make any sense

However, the workflow is definitely more awkward. Moving the location info away from the main window is especially problematic. It all seems like a work in progress. I’m sure we’ll see ir refined further in the next update.

I am hoping, for more permanent presets, for Audio Settings.
