What folder to move from 8.5 to 9.5?

Hi! What folder(s) do I need to move from my 8.5 to 9.5 to keep everything (presets, templates etc) the same? I remember that’s something I had to do when updating before but I’m not quite sure. Thanks!

If on a PC, much of what you need is at:

C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase x.x_64

where C: is your program drive; [username] is the Windows account user name; and x.x is the version number of Cubase.

Not sure on Mac.

Can I also suggest you backup %appdata%/Steinberg/Cubase x.x_64 if you intend to tweak pref’s and keyboard commands as I do.

My Cubase x.x directory corrupted only last week hence why I now know exactly where it lives. The only fix was to reset the directory by renaming (removing) and restarting Cubase. The rename/restart re-creates this directory with Zero pref’s/keyboard commands/your templates etc…
