I want to setup a new sampler but when I push import, there is no access to Mediabay, so I can ´t select any samples.
Only Project folders are accessible when tapping the Import tab, Cubasis does not show Audio Files or Samples, what you see in my screenshot is all that’s available.
MiniSampler is at the point where I simply refuse to use it…
…just tried to import a sample (which used to work before) and now I get kinda pop-corn crackling sound when I try to play the imported sample, it’s NOT buffer-related!
I think the core issues is that Mini Sampler internally works at 44.1Khz and when the project is NOT running at 44.1k various weird behaviors pops up…
If I could I would completely remove MiniSampler from Cubasis…
I know I’ve been pushing for Cubase Sampler Track for Cubasis for quite a while and sincerely hope it’s on the to-do list for @LSlowak and his team!
Cheers!
Hi @Samuel_Lindeman ,
Are you able to import Audio samples from inside Mini Sampler? This feature has disappeared since updating Cubasis3, I haven’t updated to iPadOS27 yet until I know there are no issues.
Mike
Yes, I can add samples to the Mini Sampler.
First I select the note (using the keyboard) and then double-tap on the audio-file.
After that I stretch the key-range a bit.
And then tap edit to show the sample. (which also shows the ruler bug).
So for me it works as expected, iPhone 16, running iOS27.
(But the layback is ‘pop-corn-cracle’, I suspect that MiniSampler is running at 44.1 and project is set to run at 48k since that’s the hardware sample-rate for the iPhone 16).
The cracle was caused by too small buffer-size (1.3ms total 22ms).
Weird that ALL the other instruments (AU and Internal) work at the smallest buffer-size but Mini Sampler fails…
And why are all samples still converted to 44.1k 16-bit, it’s 2026!
Mmm, I have tried tapping the Import tab in Mini Sampler but I still only get access to Cubasis project folders, no Audio Files os Samples.
Same here
Hi all,
We are sorry to hear about the MiniSampler issues. These are planned to be resolved in the next update; however, it will take some time before the next release becomes available.
In the meantime, please find a workaround below, kindly provided by our engineering.
Best regards,
Lars
Workaround
- In the MediaBay, add a new folder inside your Projects folder, call it “A” for example.
- Inside folder A, add a new folder “B”.
- Restart Cubasis.
- In the MiniSampler’s Import page, you should now see your folder A. Tap it.
- Double tap folder B in the right column.
- Now a Back button appears.
- Tap “Back” twice to go to the root folder.
- Tap “Audio”.
- Now you should see the usual audio folders (Drum Loops, My Audio Files, My Samples). Double tap one in the right column to see its content.
Note: This issue currently appears to affect only iOS.
Hi Lars,
Thank you, the workaround works perfectly ![]()
