What is (Cpf1)? What and why's the where before

I just duplicated a track, and it has added this “Cpf1” to the original track. No info in manual, I presume its Copy 1 or some such, but that is not thev question. Rather why are we being told this?
Are the copies twinned in any way? Will changes to one effect the other is some settings?

From the top of my head this string gets added when you create a new track version and it’s based on the previous one.

What kind of track?
I tested it with audio and midi tracks. Nothing changes to the original track.
