What is my proof of eligibility when crossgrading from Pro Tools?

Hi,

I am planning on switching from my old Pro Tools 10 to cubase. I see that they offer a crossgrade for Pro Tools 9 and up. I own Pro Tools 9 (with a free upgrade to Pro Tools 10 at the time I purchased it).

How do I know if I am 100% eligibile for the crossgrade? Seems i have to purchase cubase crossgrade first, then show proof…what proof is required? I still have my serial number on the old box and of course my Avid account/ilok account has my licenses attach to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I never knew about the crossgrade stuff and it seems that the sale currently is only going for a couple more days.

Ive been struggling keeping Pro Tools 10 even functioning on newer hardware and I just seem to get constant issues more and more with it. I’m really hoping to get another DAW and not feel like at any moment, its going to start crashing. Plus, getting off of 32bit so i can use newer plugins and such.

Hi @jlx302.

Welcome to the Cubase community.

Please find the relevant information here:

It sounds like if i go through with it even now, the sale price may not be the price i pay, where the sales end in a couple days and it can take up to three days to verify?

Might have to wait for the next sale unfortantly.

Thank you!

Maybe, but if that is the case, you are not bound to make the purchase, and can wait for the sales to return.

I would go through the process to see where it takes me, and if it doesn’t work for me, just cancel the whole thing and wait for the sales to return.

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Here’s hoping someone else can chime in.

Good luck.
