What is the symbol / icon here mean please?

Hi All, I have just started using Nuendo 13 and am learning the system shortcuts. I have not modified any. I wanted to find the return to start of Project shortcut. I was presented with Num and a dot and semicolon and another dot. I hope the picture supplied works. I have since edited the shortcut since I had no idea what it meant. Either its a bug or its an apple key or what, I don’t know.
Kind Regards
Judson

Hi,

I believe that’s just a graphical bug.

I don’t think I have ever customized that shortcut and here it is “Num .” meaning the period (or comma, depending your your keyboard) in the numpad.

Agreed - I see it too (N13.0.51 MacOS) but hitting “period” on NumPad moves the transport to Project Start as expected.

Oh, no! Wait.

The semicolon is the symbol used for separating two different shortcuts assigned to the same function.

So in this case I believe it got confusing because it is a period + semicolon+colon. But what it really means is that both “Num.” and “,” are mapped to “Go to project start”.

And the reason I have only “Num .” despite never customizing it is that I took “,” for another shortcut.

Thank you. I understand now. Much appreciated. (Windows 11 machine).
