I must have inadvertently clicked on something to make this appear. Thanks for the suggestions but unchecking Cycle Locators has not made it go away.
There is a button next to the Play button. I know it exists, even if I have never used it. At my phone at the moment, so I would suggest that you experiment with that Cycle Play button. I think it is purple, too.
If the button that @RafaelBorba mentions is purple, then cycle playback is on, and the cycle locators will display regardless of the View setting that @Janus mentions.
To get rid of the locators, click the purple button so that it’s no longer purple, and make sure you have Cycle Locators unticked in the View dropdown.
