Zero - AI in the arts, music included, in general is a disgrace ; suno and the like are shady software already being sued and found guilty for copyright infringement all over the world
Ya but the suno ceo said that scraping music for AI “isn’t illegal”. He’s no lawyer or supreme court judge to interpret the law, but his words are still infallible law, right? ![]()
It’s not as if he’s filtering the law through the lens of his desire or anything, nope. He said that he wants to gamify music and everyone alive will have to subscribe to listen to generated music on a meter. Oh looks like him and his friends will be the financial benefactors of this metered music system. What a coincidence that his interpretation of the law just so happens to benefit him and only him (and the open ai ceo demon said he wants to sell intelligence to the public on a meter too. … ? What happened to using ai to cure cancer and fix the world’s problems, mr. businessmen?)
This reminds me of preaching the ridiculous doctrine of eternal torment to force the sale of indulgence tokens, to pay to get your loved ones out of some imaginary purgatory place. The original subscription fee that every other one is modeled after. You wouldn’t know of entire nations worth of people that were taken by this pyramid scheme, would you?
Due to the “interpretation” of an established law. Which resulted in the poor still being poor and the interpreters of said law ending up living in palaces just laden in marble and gold. How bout that.
It’s almost as if businessmen have a tiny bit of experience grifting money out of people, hey.
Come to think of it, it’s almost as if the love of money is still, yes even to this day, the root of all evil.
That a plant root, unmolested and left to its own devices, will grow continually and pop up its sprouts everywhere and anywhere, being driven by its own will, no matter if it’s wanted or not. That tares (weeds) among wheat are a problem because they spring up in the fertile places, compete and suck the life out of useful wheat. That wheat nourishes and sustains life, being useful to the world, while the weeds parasitically live off the destruction of valuable food stuffs. Through their close resemblance to wheat, they publicly deceive onlookers by their similar image, but their works are they do the exact opposite of the wheat. Taking away life instead of giving it. You wouldn’t know anyone like that, would you?
…
“I’ve seen more excitement in a waiting room.
These tech bros show up and suck the life out of the room, making everyone lifeless boring drones, the same as they are.”

I think it is the simple mob tactic of “pay us to protect you from us”.
I use Emvoice, and before that Alter Ego, from Plogue. There was also something from a German company called VirSyn.
I love Emvoice because it allows variable tempos, unlike other “options”.
Basically, as the tempo changes, you need to re-align and adjust notes inside the VST plug-in editor.
In addition, as you program harmonies, your music will change to accommodate it but it is always you, the creator who is in charge, and at every step.
You can then choose to replace the AI vocals, with real ones but up until that point the song is still fluid, however saying that; I have never used sounds other than samples, that which I believe, it would not be impossible to replace but rather, people would need to learn the songs, in which case the vocal parts are plainly able to be understood, and in your work new melodies will be spawned, of which you can sing to yourself, or hum or whatever so this Artificial or “Super” Intelligence, is a wonderful thing from where I sit.
