What resources for Cubasics on ipad

Hello everyone.
Am new to the forum, new to Cubasis, and new to ipad and have a query.
I decided to investigate recording tracks on ios, so in order to dip my toes
in the water, I bought the 208 ipad, not wanting to spent on the pro version
until I see how I get on.

My ipad has 128bb drive and the 2 gb of ram,
am just wondering if anyone runs Cubasics on a similar ipad,
and how capable it is with these resources.

I have seen a few complaints with other daws on ipads,
One review of auria shocked me, the makings of one song
and the cpu at 60%, that would be no good to me at all,
so am hoping Cubasics can do better, it was the default
song that ships with auria.

I would love to hear your experiences of Cubasics on a not so high spec ipad like mine.

Thanks for your message.

Cubasis LE is our smaller version of Cubasis, which gets bundled with several audio interfaces and comes with a reduced feature set. Additionally, the app includes a free and restartable thirty minute demo mode.

While Cubasis LE does not provide all features of the full Cubasis version, it might be helpful to check out the free demo mode with your given iPad.

Cubasis LE is available as a free iOS App Store Download, here you can find the comparison chart between both apps.

Hi LSlowak,

i will look into the differences via the link you supplied,
I like the layout of this app, very easy for me to follow,
just worried the ipad is not up to spec as of yet to take
advantage of what is on offer, which is no reflection on the app.
I enjoy my Ur22, never an issue, on windows, Ubuntu without any
driver, just low latency kernel, it will work on ios too, when I make
up my mind regarding an ios daw.

Hi,

Please note that the earlier UR22 does not provide iOS compatibility, which has been added to its successor, the UR22mkII.
Hopefully, you’re equipped with the UR22mkII…

Thank you for your reply, I just tired the UR22, and you are right,
the ipad said can not use this device UR22, it looks like am in the market
for an ipad compatible device, are you sure the UR22 mk2 will work with
ipads, if so does it require a usb hub for power, or does the USB to lightning
connector work, I have seen the UR12 working with an ipad,
any advise much appreciated.

Both the Steinberg UR and UR-RT audio device interface provide iPad compatibility.
